While searching on the internet for the meaning of life, I stumbled upon a website called Quora. After quickly finding an appropriate answer there, this seemed to give me the excuse to browse the site a little more, which I realize may have been just a way to vainly justify my procrastination from solving the rubix cube on my desk. Consequently, I stumbled upon Mercedes R. Lackey responding to a question on Quora. This perked my interested considerably given that it was a Tuesday, and nothing interesting ever seems to happens on a Tuesday….as we all know. Which is why I’m not posting this on a Tuesday, because you wouldn’t find it all interesting. Anyway, here are some really amusing answers Mercedes Lackey has given to questions on Quora.
Mercedes R. Lackey has published over 140 books. She started out as a Fan fiction writer and now is a widely known fantasy and urban fantasy novelist. She has written with other authors including her husband, Larry Dixon, who has also illustrated her work. Lackey is also a song writer and filk singer.
Quote: “I began writing out of boredom; I continue out of addiction. I can’t ‘not’ write, and as a result I have no social life! I began writing fantasy because I love it, but I try to construct my fantasy worlds with all the care of a ‘high-tech’ science fiction writer.”
